This year there are some really exciting ways to renew your membership so you won’t be standing around, waiting in line to fill in forms and make payments. You will be able to jump straight into training, saving lives and having fun on the beach.
Lifesaving online
The active members of the club will remember using lifesaving online to complete the paperwork for Bronze, SRC and other proficiencies.
This year we are encouraging all members to renew their membership and make payments on line.
The advantages of a lifesaving on line account include
1) Filling in the membership forms and payment on line in the comfort of your own home or office
2) No waiting around at the club, just get straight into it when you come down on Sunday morning
3) Patrolling members will have ready access to patrol rosters and hours
4) Members can keep track of their SLS awards
5) Proficiency paperwork is also done in the comfort of home.
Anyone can register at Lifesaving Online to renew their membership or join a club. These requests are then sent to our club’s administrator to approve.
Each family member joining the club will get their own username and password so even the kids can have access to all the resources offered by lifesaving online. But one big advantage is that Mum or Dad can pay for everybody in the family all at once.
Basic Steps to accessing Lifesaving Online for Existing Club Members
Go to www.lifesavingonline.com.au
If Members have already created an account: Click ‘Log In & Enjoy’. Enter your username and password (if you have forgotten these, click on the link ‘forgotten username and password” and the system will send these details to you).
For those members that do not already have access to lifesaving online, it is easy and there is lots of IT support if you have any difficulties. But follow these instructions first and see how you go.
For First Time Users of Lifesaving Online:
· Click on the box ‘Create Account’
· Are you now or have you ever been a member of a Surf Club? – Click ‘Yes’.
· Enter your details. Note: Details MUST match those that are already recorded in surfguard eg: name, Date Of Birth, email and mobile phone (Information you would have already given to the Registrar from last year).
· Create a ‘username’ and ‘password’.
· The system will then send you information (either via email or SMS) in order to confirm and ‘activate’ your account.
Once you are logged in, click on the link ‘If you are here to renew your membership at a surf club, please click here’
Contact the SLSA Helpdesk 1300 724 006 if you experience any problems.
If you don’t wish to go online you can return your forms and pay by cash or cheque to:

Cadet and Seniors (bronze) members
All pool swims will be conducted during the week of Monday 30/9/13 to Friday 4/10/13.
The first BM proficiency date will be Sunday 20/10/13.
This will be followed by a second on Sunday 3/11/13.
I request that all BM Holders attend one of these dates.
Please be nice & respond to which date you can attend.
All members are requested to complete their Proficiency Theory Paper Online.
This is a huge saving on our resources, saves a thousand trees, and should take about 20-40 minutes to complete, against 60 minutes for the paper version. This also shortens up the whole process on the Sunday so we can enjoy the BBQ and refreshments earlier rather than later. To access lifesaving online use the link – https://www.lifesavingonline.com.au/SLSA_Online/modules/home/index.php
